The Varsity Boy’s opened the season last night with an 11-5 victory over Seton last night on “the island”.

Nick Figuerado finished in goal with 6 Saves. His biggest saves came in the third quarter when he made three key one on one saves thus not allowing Seton to creep back into the contest.
As a whole, the team played very well for the first game of the season and controlled the time of possession for a majority of the game. One of the concepts we try to emphasize is to possess the ball and control the game. “The other team can not score if they do not have the ball.” It was great to see that many on the team understood this concept and at the conclusion made a point to say how we dominated time of possession. Very rewarding for me as a coach to see the learning process take shape and it result in success for the team.
